Ministry: Russia threshes 97 mln tns of grain as of Tuesday

MOSCOW, Sep 7 (PRIME) -- Russian farmers threshed 96.879 million tonnes of grain from 34.9 million hectares as of Tuesday compared with 29 million hectares last year as of the corresponding date, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Wheat harvest amounted to 66.8 million tonnes and barley harvest stood at 17.6 million tonnes.

The ministry expects Russia’s grain harvest to stand at 110 million tonnes in 2016.
